Yonatan Tsevi, Dunav lawyer
Background
Yonatan comes from a family where everybody dances.
His parents met on the dancing floor, and his mother,
a folk dance teacher, by now 84, still dances.
Yonatan is a lawyer by profession. He is also a professional tour guide, and has led tours both in Israel and abroad. He was a pilot in the army. He plays the piano and guitar and still goes Israeli folk dancing regularly.
Dunav related activities
Yonatan donates his services to help preserve the Balkan folkdance community. He provided the legal groundwork to help found the organization and provides continuing pro bono assistance for all of Dunav's legal activities. He has recently become more involved in the day-to-day activities of the organization.
Information and knowledge
Last summer he attended his first folklore seminar in Serbia, and experienced the brass band festival in Guca for the first time. Strongly influenced by his experiences in Serbia, he introduced singing evenings in what he hopes is a new Dunav tradition.
