Costume search tips
- One word queries only, no AND searches.
- You can override the browse categories by searching for a region directly. For example, a search for "trakia" will return all the costumes from that region, including the subregions, and a search for "bulgaria" will return all costumes from Bulgaria.
- You can search for cross-country regions, currently, sop and thrace.
- You can also look for smaller regions such as "godech" or "nis".
- The costume search is a simple, manually indexed search based on how things are spelled in the Dunav database. It is not smart enough to recognize alternative spellings. Sorry!
The Greek folk costumes in our collection are from Kyriakos Moisidis. The Macedonian costumes are used with the consent of MacedoniaDirect.com, the online store for Macedonian folklore.
